3^rd March as W.H.O Declared the International ear care day which is celebrated all over the world on March 3^rd Institute of Health Sciences, CSJM University, Kanpur was the Centre of activity. This activity is celebrated through a talk on Deaf Free Kanpur by Prof.Dr.Rohit Mehrotra.

The inauguration of this function begins through the lamp lighting by  Chief Guest Shri Kaushal Raj Sharma District Magistrate Kanpur Nagar, and Prof. J.V.  Vaishampayan, Vice Chancellor CSJM University Kanpur, Dr.R.P.Yadav CMO Kanpur nagar, Dr .Praveen Katiyar IMA Kanpur president & Prof. Dr.Rohit Mehrotra GSVM Medical College Kanpur and in presence of  Pediatrician Association  President Kanpur.

          Vice Chancellor Kanpur University welcomed to Shri Sharma & give their remarks to work done by Dr.S.N.Mehrotra Memorial ENT Foundations regarding deafness and deaf free Kanpur.

D.M. Kanpur Shri Kaushal Raj Sharma also appreciated the foundations AIMS of Deaf Free Kanpur by 2030. He also gives the message of free Cochlear Implant Surgery to 0-5 Years deaf children by Dr. Rohit Mehrotra through the Central Government Scheme  in Kanpur  through only one private Mehrotra ENT Hospital  Ashok Nagar Kanpur. He said the expenses on Cochlear Implant surgery for one ear about Rs.5,80,000/-for each ear, this is very expensive for BPL Society and Middle Class Society now it become easy.

Prof.Dr. Rohit Mehrotra gives detailed talks on Ear Car and Importance of Cochlear Implant surgery to defeat the deafness battle in   Kanpur and provide deaf free Kanpur by 2030. At last he said sound and healthy hearing is right for all.

Prof. Dr. Rohit Mehrotra who is the head of this team explained the mechanism of hearing He also suggested to link hearing test by OAE to oral Polio scheme already running in the State. All Children at birth should be checked for hearing and the deaf should be implanted in  both ears  in  the first year of life to set excellent results. He said Cochlear Implant is like a bypass surgery and gives excellent hearing.

Prof.S.K. Katiyar, Principal, Prof. Dr.Navneet Kumar, Dr. Prasad, Prof. Dr. Kiran Pandey  gave their wishes on this  FOGSI  and  Gynecologists will take this up at their forum so that mothers can be motivated to get this free hearing checkup.IAP President Dr. Sunil Agarwal , Dr. Sunil Tanaja, Dr. Raj Tilak, and Dr. YashwantRao presented the perditions perspectives.
