Foundation have been working on Prevention & Protection of Deafness since the year 2010 -2011, but this Society  could not achieve their goal alone without the  Economic &Social support of  the Community. Deafness is one of the most common congenital disabilities in India. It is estimated to be 30 times more common than other congenital defects such as sickle cell anemia, cystic fibrosis, hypothyroidism etc. As reported by WHO there are 360 million deaf people in India. The problem is receiving political attention. The health ministry has launched its project named RBSK to focus on the Prevention and early diagnosis of deafness in few states. In Govt. Body, proper facilities for Treatment of ear infections is not available. it’s the  causing hearing loss, so it is still out of the reach of the people. The Aim of this foundation is to provide free Cochlear Implant surgery treatment to deaf and dumb children in the society to make those normal.  International figure say that 5-6 out of every 1000 is born deaf in India. We feel the number is more. About 45000 Children are born every day in India out of which approximate 250-300 children are born with deafness.

There is no existing NGOs in Kanpur Nagar nor nearby 14 Districts as well who can make any kind of efforts for deaf awareness and prevention of avoidable deafness. Dr. S.N.
